  • Bicycling: Your calf muscles help to pump blood upward. Bicycling is one way to strengthen these muscles without putting too much strain on your joints. Riding a bicycle is an easy task. It won’t impact much on your energy, yet it would greatly strengthen your muscle. Bicycling regularly will ensure blood properly flows upward from your legs to the heart, prevents pooling of blood, and keeps veins healthy.
  • Bicycle Legs: Even without a bicycle, you can still carry out the bicycling exercise. All you have to do is to lie flat with your back on the floor or mat. Then raise one or both legs and bend them at the knees. Start pedaling the legs as if you are riding a bicycle. If you do it for one leg, you can switch to the other leg after some time.
  • Standing With Calf Raised: You can also strengthen your calves without pedaling. Just stand on your toes and rest your hands against the wall. Stay in that position for a few seconds. Then, gradually lower your back.
  • Mountain Climbing: Mountain climbing is an exercise to strengthen the legs and the arms. This will promote good blood flow and healthy veins. Rest your palms and feet on the ground in a plank position. Then pull up your right knee up to the chest level. Return it to its initial position and repeat with the left knee. Repeat as many times as possible and as fast as you can. The faster you go, the more you work out the muscles. 
  • Side Lunges: Another way to strengthen the muscles in your calves and legs is by standing on your toes with your legs slightly apart. Then move your right leg sideways so that it is further away from the left. After this, shift your weight to the right side to strengthen the right leg. Remain like that for a while, then go back to normal. Repeat the activity with the left leg.
  • Rocking Your Feet: Any action that will strengthen the muscles of the feet is good for promoting better circulation and keeping the veins healthy. You can strengthen your leg muscles by rocking your feet. First, stand with your heels raised so that your weight rests on the balls of your feet. Stay in that position for a few seconds, then lower your heels and raise the balls of your feet so that your weight now rests on your heels. You can repeat the process as many times as possible. Also, this simple activity can be done while sitting or standing.
  • Yoga: Yoga is another excellent way to keep blood flow properly in your veins and keep the veins healthy. There are different forms of Yoga; in this case, you should go for a fast one. When you change your poses periodically, it will enhance blood  to circulate properly through your body. If you prefer a slow form of yoga, then it must involve a pose in which your leg is raised. By raising your leg, gravity will help drain blood from the leg towards the heart and hence prevent dilation of the veins.
